Sharon Athens

I started out working as a teachers assistant and have worked in Pre K, Kindergarten, First, Second, and Third Grades. I enjoy so much in helping the children with their daily lessons and working with all of the wonderful and knowledgeable teachers at  St. Damian School. One of the things I truly enjoy is to see how much the children have learned and grown by  the end of each year!

For the last 15 years I have also worked in our Extended Day Program. Welcoming all of our little ones through eighth graders in the morning and after school keeps me active and smiling at the same time! We really feel like one big happy family! It is a pleasure to watch over and care for the children and we appreciate that parents entrust us with them. I also assist the director of the program with administrative duties.

When I am not at work, I love spending time with my family and friends. One of my favorite places to be is somewhere that has warm weather, blue skies, sunshine, the ocean, and palm trees!
